New Project

I've been working on a new film. It's an experimental film based along these premises

• Animate at least 10 frames every day at the end of the day
• record, date, general mood
• allow my hand to decide where the lines should be
• rinse and repeat for 365 days

It's been 18 days so far and I'm posting my progress here
I don't think I want to test this before its all completely done.  I have a ton of ideas for what to do with this piece when its completed. Only time will tell.

Stacey Rozich

This wonderful artist caught my attention thanks to the folks over on Drawn.
I was immediately taken aback by her masterful use of color and pattern. There isn't a single piece on her website that I don't love.

This made my pretty mediocre day into a pretty exceptional day.

Hunger

I completed another drawing. I've slowly been getting bigger and bigger with these pieces, this one is 11 X 17 inches. The next one will be 20 X 26 so be on the look out for that one in a month or two. I'm really getting into this style.

I actually took the time to make a little animation test. The idea started off as a colaborative piece between Sakari Singh and I while I was living in LA. I ran with the idea a bit and put my own spin on it. Currently I'm mulling over a short film idea utilizing this character and vignetted style.
